On Giving Credit Where It's Due

Posted by Matt Davis on Fri, Oct 2, 2009 at 3:23 PM

HOW MANY TIMES?!?! If you're going to rip off another local media outlet, give them credit.

If it's not your paper's policy to do so, change the policy.

Also: The days are disappearing where newspapers can act like assholes to one another. We're all in this together, and I'd like us all to start acting and behaving a little more as if we were.

Disappearing? Haven't you noticed the pissing contest between Denson and Savage?

Matt, perhaps my memory serves me poorly (and your site's archives certainly do), but didn't you once vow to destroy Willamette Week as part of a New Year's resolution? Praying that another newspaper gets erased from existence doesn't seem to jibe with this new spirit of brotherhood. Please tell me I hallucinated the whole thing. — James Pitkin

Guess what: I don't remember doing that. But if I did, sorry. Although it is possible you were hallucinating...I don't really remember anything before July 5 2007.

Matt,
I told you that mixing grain alcohol and diesel was not a common American drink for the 4th of July...
thanks

Yes. But was that before or after you put the "griesel" cocktail in my hand, I wonder?
