I should know, because I've been looking at her all goddamn week. It's Portland Fashion Week! AHH! I've been putting some blogs (and my life) together over on MOD. Keep up, and don't miss the scathing comments from the peanut gallery. You guys are mean! I like it!

Hot she may be; but pity it is that they made her wear that shit.

Look, I saw the other runway models in a previous post...and by the mere notion that she actually IS a gorgeous woman, she wins by default.

No one is bothered by the fact that she is at least partially Black and she is wearing chains a la slavery?!? Or are those supposed to be S&M chains?

Works for free!!? You don't know that. Hahaha, I sense jealousy...I probably know you... Some models were requested by specific designers to walk for them. Some girls walked every night. I understand your issue js, of models walking for free, and their value as "human hangers" decreasing..lol. But some walked for fun, loyalty, or experience, or to experience.

I've read mixed, and hilarious negative reviews, some even putting down the models. But some models walked for the backstage experience. Meeting dozens of other girls, boys, women, and men, who become new friends each year. Meeting young people with similar interests, university educations (to the models are idiots comment in a previous post), their own businesses, children, or even a high school first period Japanese test in the morning. All of these people are charismatic, bright, and interesting, so don't you put anyone down because YOU decided against walking for this PFW.

And yes, Paloma asked if wearing chains, to symbolize her own personal journey of self discovery and breaking free, was ok. No slave connotations here, although the irony of having a half black model wear them is understandable. The thought flashed across my mind for 2.2 seconds.
