Q: What is the official language of the the United States of America?
A: none. The U.S. as a nation has never declared an official language

she makes me sick. She misses the beauty of having no official language. Although she is in good company. John Adams wanted to make English the official language, but the Continental Congress never moved fwd on his resolution.

Um, if your family members being in the military is what you think makes you right, then how about this: I was in the military and I think you are wrong.

Go learn Chinese, they will be your boss before 2020 anyways.

Wait, you mean we don't speak American here? If England is a foreign country, how come English isn't a foreign language?

You know, those Limey bastards burned down the capital in 1812 and that sounds an awful lot like terrorism to me. I say we ban English as a terrorist language.

Let's invent a new language called 'merican. We won't have to annunciate any of our vowels.

I have only one question. Why are people who can't read and write English allowed to have drivers' licenses in America?

Hmm, making the case for English as the official language whilst singing in Redneck?

@ujfoyt - Because you don't need to read or write English to drive. And you shouldn't write English while driving anyway.

SBK: How can you find your way around if you can't read street signs, or maps, or the driving regulations. If I were to move, lets say, to Russia, I would have a very hard time with directions. As a matter of fact, just go to any Canadian city where road signs are written in French-Canadian. I have done that, and the only way I could find my way around was because I knew that Nord was North and Sud was South.
