Mercury Blogtown Meetup: Drinks! Golf! Tomorrow!

It's time for another installment of the semi-regular social experiment that is the Blogtown Meetup! This time, the plan was cooked up by a handful of regular commenters, so it's a little more ambitious than our usual "get wasted at the bar next door" agenda.

DETAILS:

Thurs, Nov 5

7 pm: Meet at Shanghai Tunnel for drinks/awkward socializing.

8 pm: Proceed to Glowing Greens for a rousing game of black-lit minigolf. (Or meet at mini-golf, for kiddies and non-drinkers.) Games are $7.50 for the first round, $4.50 after that, or $2 for non players.

BYO nametag.

(Also, I just spent 20 minutes on YouTube looking for a "funny golf video," and can now state conclusively that no such thing exists.)

For example, just send your avatar file or a link, and I'll slap on your fake name/real name or whatever you like. I promise not to photoshop genitals over them, and pretend to be you on Blogtown in the coming weeks.

I reserve the right to completely drop the ball on this, or not show up at all because the Phillies have won Game 6 tonight, and Game 7 conflicts w/ the event.

Guys, Kiala is totally real. You just have to say up till midnight and then say her name in a mirror twenty five and she will appear but also drown your one true love. I'll admit it's kind of a trade-off, but it's been totally worth it these last few times.

I haven't been to one of these in forevs. Butt alas I is busy. If yalls ain'ts still drunks on "golf" (or not drunk enough). I'm spinning dub at Mt. Tabor Club in the side lounge .

Graham, will you send the picture you took of me arm wrestling Steve to CC? And/or, post the link to it on flicker to this thread? Otherwise we are gonna have to go with my X-ray on a name tag, and that won't be pretty. (I'm gonna get a tattoo of my X-ray. But it will be on my foot, of course.)
