Film The Mercury Supports Local Filmmakers! Especially if They are Named "Mike Nelson."

The Mercury was recently accused of being overly critical in our coverage of local film. With this in mind, I'd like to introduce you to the work of local cinema auteur Mike Nelson.

Though Nelson's work can be divisive and unsettling, I think a good entry point into his ouvre would be the short film I saw advertised on a telephone pole in Garden Home, Mike's New Hairdo. Please enjoy.

Oh! Mike puts up fliers on posts out in the 'burbs to promote his "films". It's very exciting.
