Overheard on MAX

Posted by Alison Hallett on Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 12:58 PM

From a kid on the red line this morning: "Why would anyone go to a play? I'd much rather go to a movie."

The sentiment itself is unremarkable and I'm sure many of the people reading this post agree with it. But here's the thing: The kid's comment was inspired by a billboard for "Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular."

There is no hope for the future of live theater in this country.
