Brad Avakian Endorses John Kitzhaber

Posted by Matt Davis on Thu, Dec 17, 2009 at 11:43 AM

Labor commissioner Brad Avakian has added his name to the long list of Oregon politicos endorsing John Kitzhaber for Governor in 2010. Kitzhaber's Democratic rival, Bill Bradbury, secured the endorsement of Al Gore last month. Here's an extract from the press release put out by Kitzhaber's campaign:

"Governor Kitzhaber has an unparalleled record of standing up for everyday Oregonians and working families; I share his commitment to improving Oregon's economy and strengthening our workforce development system," said Commissioner Avakian.

Kitzhaber said, "I am honored by the support of Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian. He has been a pillar of integrity, strength and intelligence over his entire career in public service."
