Small Business Council Says Yes on 66/67

Posted by Matt Davis on Wed, Jan 6, 2010 at 1:48 PM

Still no word back from the "no on 66/67" folks about this endorsement interview they're seemingly too chicken to arrange with the Mercury. In the mean time, the Oregon Small Business Council has endorsed a "yes" vote this afternoon. The OSBC has 400 members across the state, from retailers to realtors, manufacturers to auto shops.

"The decision was made that the return on the investment in terms of having quality education for a skilled workforce was deemed to be the right move," says Andrew Plambeck, director of the OSBC. "Small business owners have children in public schools, and we benefit from the services that would be cut if these measures did not succeed."

"This election is being painted as business vs. labor," Plambeck continues. "How it really works out is Big Business vs. Oregonians."

It's a relief to know that small-business-people still know how to count.

Maybe this country isn't totally sucked into innumerate irrationality just yet.
