Damnit! Nothing makes me more curious than seeing [comment deleted: unsubstantiated rumor]. It may as well say [comment deleted: too juicy for you! It would be naughty to leave in the comments. And you don't want us to be naughty, do you? Mmmmm, this comment is just tooooo dirty....meow.]

Sigh. No dirty rumors for us.

Hey, who doesn't love candy? Candy's delicious!

I wish there was some way to know that the editor actually removed something rather than just a bracketed phrase that any of us could cut and paste.

What does that button mean? Just that she loves candy? Or someone named "andy"?

Apparently the Volm campaign is too cerebral for me.

Candy, for those who are confused, is one of the skeeziest, grossest, bridge/tunnel-ist bars in Portland. Fake boobs, fake tans, and frosted hair galore. This button just makes me shudder.

@CC: Funny you should mention that, I just happened to run across this, this morning: http://www.portlandmercury.com/portland/Pr…

What the hell is up with the kerning there? That button took too long to read.

@blownspeakers: Classic.

I'll be damned if blownspeakers doesn't get comment of the week for that. Good work.

@tk. Agreed. What would Mary Volm think of that kerning?
The makers of that button should have downloaded a better font from the internet 6.

Apparently she hangs out at that club: http://twitter.com/BikePortland/status/769…
For the story that came out of that, go to http://bikeportland.org/2010/01/06/cornett…
Read down through the comments though, (in addition to doubting the entire premise of the story,) they complain about her website, her logo, etc... Either the people that comment on bikeportland are the same ones that comment here, or there is something seriously wrong with her campaign.

@Matt Davis: Can we get the back story: Where did you see this?

This button is clearly yellow journalism.

"This is my protest for the raping of my privacy my last name and web link posted which included an obituary of my Grand Aunt listing all my family members: Portland Mercury is Yellow Journalism. Portland Mercury is Yellow Journalism."

I have such good memories of a far simpler time...
