Oh, shit. Greedo just walked in.
  • "Oh, shit. Greedo just walked in."

Kind of a slow week for film, except for the fact that THE BRENDAN FRASER AND HARRISON FORD MOVIE THAT WAS SHOT IN PORTLAND IS FINALLY IN THEATERS! AND WE GOT AN INTERVIEW WITH BRENDAN FRASER!

In other film news, Alison's review of House of Numbers—an AIDS documentary that the Times was kind enough to call "willfully ignorant"—has snagged a few reader comments. Also, in absolutely no way whatsoever do said comments appear to be written by the people who made the film.

Jane saw Tooth Fairy. She saw it because she is an intern, and these are the sort of things we make interns do. We should probably be nicer to our interns.

Ned reviewed American Artifact, one more film about rock poster art. He recommends you go look at actual rock posters instead.

Elsewhere around town: Werner Herzog's Stroszek is at the Fifth Avenue (and his amazing Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is still at the Laurelhurst); Reel Music 27 continues at the Northwest Film Center; Brutal Beauty plays again at the Hollywood; and Legion opens wide but wasn't screened for critics (though goddamn, what a trailer!).

More, as ever, in our Film Shorts and Movie Times.
