TV Saturday Morning Cartoon: Herman and Katnip!

In this edition of Saturday Morning Cartoon, we bring you an episode from one of my all time favorite series, Herman and Katnip. Presented by Harveytoons (home to Casper the Friendly Ghost, Richie Rich, Baby Huey, etc.) Herman and Katnip is clearly a blatant ripoff of Tom and Jerry. However, what H&K lack in originality, they more than make up with in sheer, gleeful VIOLENCE. It should be no surprise that H&K were big inspirations for "Itchy & Scratchy" on The Simpsons. Anyhoo, they sure don't make 'em like this anymore! Here's Herman and Katnip in 1957's "Sky Scrappers."
