Games There's A Dead Rising Movie Now? There's A Dead Rising Movie Now!

If it seems like all I ever do lately is write about ill-conceived live action film adaptations of beloved gaming series, that's because, well ... it's true. These films are low hanging fruit and in a world where a man's adorable feline companions can be torn into pieces by something as simple as the jaws of a coyote, it's a wonder I can even get out of bed in the morning, let alone insult cinematic cash grabs for money.
The latest entry in the awesome-game-turned-likely-laughable-film canon comes courtesy of that great country of inspired insanity, Japan, and Capcom's ode to George Romero's ode to American consumerism, Dead Rising.
Behold:
Forgetting for a moment that the clip is in Japanese and seems to take place entirely within Dead Rising's minuscule warehouse, I don't actually see any glaring flaws with this trailer. Making a Dead Rising film only requires hordes of the undead and someone to hit them with heavy objects, so maybe this film will turn out okay by default.
Or maybe I'm just happy to see a film that doesn't try to recast the undead as sparkly masturbation fodder for teen girls. We dare you to rub one out to this shit ladies!
