Roger Ebert in Esquire.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Tue, Feb 16, 2010 at 9:55 AM

"We have a habit of turning sentimental about celebrities who are struck down--Muhammad Ali, Christopher Reeve--transforming them into mystics; still, it's almost impossible to sit beside Roger Ebert, lifting blue Post-it notes from his silk fingertips, and not feel as though he's become something more than he was." That's one of the lines in Chris Jones' astounding profile of Roger Ebert in Esquire. Read it.

Just reading Ebert's reviews and blog postings, you can tell he is becoming more bad ass by the hour. And it has nothing to do with his inability to speak, a fact of which I was unaware of until recently.
