REDEMPTION—Following a downhill slide that featured a pair of terrible recordings and a cringe-worthy appearance on The Hills, most Alkaline Trio fans headed for the hills. But then the strangest thing happened: The band returned to an indie label and released the surprising This Addiction, digging up their old tightly wound punk sound in the process. EAC
