Tomorrow night's reading at Ampersand was already one of our arts picks for the week—poets Zachary Schomburg and Emily Kendal Frey reading from the co-authored chapbook they just released on Future Tense, Ok, Goodnight.
Well, the reading just got even better: It was just announced via some guy on Facebook that Justin Taylor, HTML Giant contributor and author of Everything Here is the Best Thing Ever, and Pauls Toutonghi, author of Red Weather, have been added to the bill. Taylor, Toutonghi, and Schomburg were originally slated to appear at a new Bookslut-sponsored reading on Friday—that didn't shake out, so it looks like Taylor and Toutonghi just hopped on the Future Tense bill. Sould be a good one. And, according to the post-it note that Kevin Sampsell left me with event details, "free wine and beer." That's tomorrow night at Ampersand Vintage, 2916 NE Alberta, 7:30 pm.
You can read the abridged version of my pretty lengthy interview with Justin Taylor in this week's books section—stay tuned for a complete transcript.
