Sports Hey! We're Looking for a Timbers Blogger!

Guess what? We're currently looking for someone to cover the Portland Timbers and write regular updates on the games for Blogtown! COULD THAT PERSON BE YOU??

The successful applicant should have a shit-ton of knowledge about soccer and a deep love for the Timbers (that means you should also love them enough to be occasionally critical). You should also be funny, smart, able to hit deadlines, and be a snap, snap, SNAPPY writer. Photog skills don't hurt.

What do YOU get out of the deal?
• Press credentials for all Timber games, which gets you priority seating and into the locker room.
• The thrill of working on the most popular blog in the Portland metro area, which is devoured by at least a quarter of a million happy readers per month! (I'm talking about Blogtown, guys.)
• Occasionally yelled at by the Timbers Army!
• And MONEY. (How much depends on your experience and how much we can afford.)

If you're interested (or know someone who would be great), EMAIL ME HERE and include one or two writing clips, a short note detailing how your experience makes you perfect for the gig, and if you'd like, a sample Timbers column as an example of how you'd strut your stuff.

I'll probably be making a decision next week, so send in your applications ASAP!
