Tech / TV America's Got Talent That Won't Leave Its House

The line between the internet and TV blurred even more today when America's Got Talent announced that, for the first time ever, they are now accepting applications via YouTube. It was only a month ago that AGT rolled through Portland, but surely that can't have tapped out all of our homegrown star power, can it? At the very least, all of our jugglers and singing children who suffer from agoraphobia won't have to stand in line at the Rose Garden to hold Sharon Osbourne as a captive audience.
What are you waiting for, Portland? If you're stuck for ideas, here's a tip: when they say "talent" they mean "no shame," so don't try and impress the judges with your integrity. The grandpas at NBC really just want to see you humiliate yourself.
"Those crazy YouTube kids," said executive producer Ken Warwick at an NBC press session at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena on Monday. "It will be very interesting to see people who normally sit in front of a camera and have no nerves or nothing and see how they react when they're live in front of the judges."
Just wait'll Old Man Warwick gets ahold of Those Crazy YouTube Kids™! The celebrity judges will really give them a taste of what it means to sell your dignity for pennies on the dollar.
