It's About Time Someone Made a Graphical Representation of Portland Facial Hair

Posted by Ezra Ace Caraeff on Thu, May 20, 2010 at 2:59 PM

Some sort of mad beard scientist staying at the Jupiter Hotel developed this chart that compiles Portland facial hair (the Y axis) on an hourly basis (the X axis). This updated version—the previous one was an incomplete sample size from Monday—was drawn on the hotel's chalkboard painted doors. What about the ironic beard or mustache? Does that count for more? Science is also failing to factor in irony. Stupid science.

Tip of the hat to Bryan and Anna at the Doug Fir.

Yeah, s/he should have passed out a survey, rather than just observed. "Is your beard ironic or sincere, or you don't know (s'ok we don't know either)?"

Hey, that's my drawing! Cool! The Jupiter Hotel (especially Room 103) is a great place to stay.
