Film Please Read Lindy's Sex and the City 2 Review

Dave Bow! I liked your Sex and the City 2 review (especially since it inspired an Oregonian telemarketer to get incensed enough to impersonate a reporter)! However, I must bring to our readers' attention another review of the film written by Lindy West at our sister paper The Stranger which is so incredibly scathing/wonderful, it has been named NUMBER ONE on the list of The 9 Most Scathing Critical Responses to Sex and the City 2 as decided upon by Movie|Line. Here's a delicious selection:

SATC2 takes everything that I hold dear as a woman and as a human—working hard, contributing to society, not being an entitled cunt like it's my job—and rapes it to death with a stiletto that costs more than my car. It is 146 minutes long, which means that I entered the theater in the bloom of youth and emerged with a family of field mice living in my long, white mustache. This is an entirely inappropriate length for what is essentially a home video of gay men playing with giant Barbie dolls.

I already did, because it was linked on Digg. It's probably the best review out there right now, and there are several to choose from (Ebert's is good too).

It is SOOO refreshing to hear a woman actually criticize this vapid, hollow and otherwise ugly franchise. Renews my faith. And what a critique. You go girl!
