That’s right, Portland, Pabst Blue Ribbon was recently sold to a major food investor for $250 million dollars! Apparently C. Dean Metropoulos (owner of Bumble Bee Tuna, Chef Boyardee, and handful of other food brands) decided to purchase the official beer of anti-establishment tight-pants types after PBR saw a recent spike in sales. Sucker!

The question now is this: If PBR becomes an even more popular national beer brand, will it still maintain its vaunted place on tap lists across PDX, Austin, and Williamsburg? If not, what kind of horse-piss will take its place?
