This week in Saturday Morning Cartoon, we revisit Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears—a mid '80s classic which heralded the first time Disney dipped its toe into animation for television. It's a series based on... ummm, candy... those disgusting little gummi bear candies, but I guess one can't always choose where inspiration lies. A great race of magical gummi bears were driven into exile, and are rediscovered by an open-minded boy who is given a gummi medallion, and... JESUS. This is just weird. Check out episode #1 of Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, "The New Beginning." And don't forget to get tested for diabetes.
