Portland: Apparently We Love America.

Much like when Combos cheese snack erroneously voted Portland the least manly city, Men's Health magazine has taken upon itself the decision to vote Portland the most patriotic city in America. They believe Portland is more patriotic than Salt Lake City and Tampa, a claim I find frankly offensive.

The rankings are based on volunteer rate, voter turnout, spending on veterans, flag sales and fireworks sales. Hmm... lots of spending on healthcare, lots of volunteerism, voter turnout topping 80 percent. You know what that sounds like to me? Socialism.

Now everyone go have a good weekend and blow off your fingertips in the name of America.
