USA Today:

Democrats introduced legislation today to offer Americans a so-called public plan to compete with private health insurers, and the Congressional Budget Office calculates such an option would save about $68 billion through 2020 and offer lower premiums.

This news will no doubt delight Tea Party activists who are only concerned about deficit spending.
