Gizmodo says that a new law in California would punish people who assume another person's identity online:

It's been put to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, with the new bill landing such identity thieves with a $1,000 fine or up to a year in jail, along with the opportunity to sue for compensation.

The limits of parody will probably be legally tested almost immediately. I expect The Hulk, for one, to be doing a whole lot of suing.
