Marcel the Shell

Posted by Marissa Sullivan on Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 4:43 PM

This is the cutest video I've ever seen. She makes you laugh, and she's a great example of a positive self image.

You said 'positive self-image' in The Merc's blog un-ironically....

I assume she's a girl because of her voice, her name, and when she talks about her skis she makes sure to say, "man's skis". Was I wrong to assume?

no, not wrong to assume at all. i was just curious as to how you choose female gender. by voice, to me sounds like a boy. the name could be a boy or a girl. and either a boy or girl shell could ride on skis made from a man's toenails.

That sounds nothing like a boy. A boy sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVd-rSPGU-w

well, Jenny sounds like a girl, but when you ask her about Marcel, she refers to the character as a him. Maybe Marcel's shell balls (shalls? shballs? bells?) just haven't dropped yet.
