Meet The Bubbleator

Posted by Dan Savage on Thu, Sep 2, 2010 at 1:57 PM

"Being Mormon, I can't look at porn or nudity," writes some Mormon dude who can't look at porn or nudity. "So I have to get creative. That's why I invented 'bubbling.' Hard to explain so just scroll down."

And here's what you'll find when you scroll down:

More—and more disturbing—examples of "bubbling" (what appear to be underage girls are given bubble treatment) can be found here.

This is clever--but it only "works" (in the sense that I see that and think, a ha, they are naked!) because I've seen many naked women. How exactly is this going to work for a young Mormon man who--IN THEORY--has never before seen more than an ankle here and there? Don't they still kind of have to imagine?

Well, he could be married and has made a baby.

And wow you weren't joking about 'what appear to be underage girls'.

Yeah, those 'underage' looking pics are not cool. Also, as a fellow Mormon, I just want to say this guy is dumb. Creative, but dumb. Just look at the real thing if it's that important to you. There's really not much difference. By the way, most Mormons I know have in fact seen naked bodies. Although we're counseled not to watch/look at porn, it's not a guaranteed eternity in Hell if you see a nipple. This guy is just kind of creepy.

As long as Kashrut is in the news these days, can we get a final word on the Hyrax?

Um, he did not invent it.

The technique has been around for years and all of the research into Gestalt Psychology.

This Mormon kid is lying.
