Canada Can Handle The Compostable Bag, But We Can't?

Posted by Andrea "the Intern" Vedder on Thu, Nov 4, 2010 at 3:40 PM

Last month, Frito-Lay announced it was (mostly) pulling the super-noisy compostable SunChips bags that no one liked and that may have been responsible for an 11% drop in the company's annual sales.

The backtrack only applied to the U.S., however; Frito-Lay decided that the Canadians could handle the noise.

Frito-Lay even suspected the Canadians of a sense of humor, and offered a free pair of earplugs to all Canadian SunChips consumers.

O, Canada. We tease you, but deep down we're jealous of your legal pot consumption, free pills, gravy-drenched cheesy fries and now, your incredible, eardrums-be-damned commitment to compost. You're so cool.
