FACT: Lesbians Don't Hit Their Kids!

Posted by Marissa Sullivan on Wed, Nov 10, 2010 at 2:46 PM

And I mean NOT AT ALL! So there's this study, right? And it's by the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS), okay? And get this—it's the longest-running study ever conducted on American lesbian families (now in its 24th year). And guess what they found out?!

The paper found that none of the 78 NLLFS adolescents reports having ever been physically or sexually abused by a parent or other caregiver. This contrasts with 26 percent of American adolescents who report parent or caregiver physical abuse and 8.3 percent who report sexual abuse.

Well, thanks a lot HUFFPO, you've just proven there's yet another thing that lesbians are better at than the rest of us. (That's it. I'm switching teams!)

Their kids will never be abused.
