In case you missed it, on Saturday Arizona Democratic congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head at a rally at a grocery store, by a nutjob identified as Jared L. Loughner, who has ties to an anti-Semitic group. His rampage left six people dead (including a NINE-YEAR-OLD GIRL) and 14 wounded. Ms. Giffords remains in critical condition. Read our coverage of it here, here, here, and here.

More on Loughner's nutbaggery. Obama leads a moment of silence for the victims. The latest on Giffords' condition. The heroes of the day. The only thing good to come out of this? It made Republicans shut their mouths for a minute.

This is not to say I have any problem with your uninteresting interests (I have a few of my own)—I do have one question about the Oregon vs. Auburn game however. If this game is so "important," why is it being played on Monday? Enlighten me with your knowledge below (IN ALL CAPS, PLZ).

And finally, something infinitely more interesting than any football game: THE NEW BRITNEY SINGLE!
