Politics Arizona State Legislature Provides Comfort and Aid to Future Jared Lee Loughners

Holy shit. This is today's news:
The Arizona State Legislature has passed a bill allowing individuals to carry guns at public events. The bill’s passage comes less than two months after Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot during a public event in Tucson, Arizona.
Let me repeat that:
The Arizona State Legislature has passed a bill allowing individuals to carry guns at public events.
I used to think Arizona was the Florida of the western United States. Now I think it's clear that Arizona has surpassed Florida in terms of sheer idiocy.
