Did you read Letters to Wendy's? A cult classic of the early century, Letter's to Wendy's is framed as a series of customer comment cards written to the fast food giant. They start mundane and earnest, but quickly spiral into the absurd, hostile, and bizarrely sexual fantasies of the disturbed patron.

Read as a novel, a collection of poetry, surreal manifestos or even a journal, Letters to Wendy's is a brilliant and hilarious work, and its author, Joe Wenderoth, reads tonight, for free, at the invite of our local reading series Bad Blood.

Created by Zachary Schomburg, Drew Swenhaugen, and Joseph Maines, Bad Blood features out of town and touring poets and offers a venue that's not a bookstore or a univeristy. Tonight's reading also features Tony Tost, author of Invisible Bride Walt Whitman award winner, and Kyle Morton and Danielle Sullivan of Typhoon and Wild Ones, respectively, will play a set.

Bad Blood will be held at Crema on 28th and SE Ankeny. Doors at 8pm.
