Last week, local comics publisher Dark Horse laid off a bunch of people. Shortly thereafter, ComicsAlliance Editor Laura Hudson turned to occasional CA contributor—and former Dark Horse publicist—Aaron Colter for his thoughts on the layoffs. While Colter wasn't shy about assigning blame for the layoffs, he had also been fired from Dark Horse back in February, so he wasn't exactly a credible source.

Hudson just posted a significantly less grumpy interview, though, this time with Dark Horse President Mike Richardson. Richardson addresses the layoffs, Dark Horse's slipping market share, and the company's long-delayed digital comics initiative. Alas, he's also in full-on damage-control mode, which means there's a whole lot of spin and not much info that's new or surprising. Still, it's worth a read for those wondering about—and those affected by—Dark Horse's current state.
