Start saving your pennies, Portland poors. June is Portland Dining Month, which means that some of our finest restaurants are opening up their doors to the likes of you. For $25 you can have a three-course meal at the kind of place normally reserved for respectable members of society and those of us eating on the Mercury's dime—Paley's Place, Aviary, Lincoln, Nostrana, Window's Skyroom.

Wait...Window's Skyroom? As in, the bar atop the Red Lion? The poor man's Portland City Grill? Where the bartenders wear Hawaiian shirts? I love Windows—it's probably my favorite convention-center themed bar in town—but it's always been a place I get plastered off of well gin & tonics and pretend to be a traveling salesman, or an NBA scout, or a philosopher in town for a big existentialist think-tank conference. Have I been overlooking its culinary wonders all this time? Anyone actually had a meal there? Would spending $25 to do so be considered a value?

Anyway, full list of participating restaurants after the jump. We'll check back in come June and discuss which places are giving you bang for your buck, and which are phoning it in.
