Happy 106th Birthday, Oaks Park! Just when you thought Oaks Park couldn't get any better, they give us something Portland was in dire need of—glorious al fresco putt-putt. Yep that's right, to celebrate their birthday the fine folks at the park are opening an outdoor mini-golf course, right by the rink on the river, with tentative plans to open this weekend for the Memorial Day crowds.

Hit up pdxhistory.com for a fascinating history of the Coney Island of the Northwest. It used to have a huge swimming pavilion, monkeys and bears, a thriving streetcar line, and a rollerskating elephant on the midway!
