This Week's Mercury Music Section

Okkervil River

Another week, another Mercury music section to read while you save your pennies to buy stock in Pandora. After you buy a few shares, it'll recommend some other stocks that it thinks you might like.

Okkervil River shed the nervous energy of their previous recordings on the more cerebral I Am Very Far. Plus judging by that promo photo above, they really need to clean their windows.
LISTEN:

Okkervil River - "Wake And Be Fine"

Emily's Army keeps the proud Gilman St. pop punk tradition alive. And yes, Billy Joe Armstrong brings them all juice boxes and orange slices after each gig.
LISTEN:

Emily's Army - "Broadcast This"

Not quite juvenile, and not quite grown up, BOAT can cure even the most cynical of listener.
LISTEN:

BOAT - "(I'll Beat My Chest Like) King Kong"

End Hits: Lenny Dykstra is our financial advisor.
