Though nobody asked for this—it's gonna happen whether we like it or not: Pre-registration for auditions for the 11th season of American Idol will be going down (for the first time in Portland) at the Rose Garden on Thursday and Friday June 30-July 1, with the actual auditions taking place on Saturday, July 2! From the press release:
Wristbands will be distributed to auditioners during pre-registration (tables open Thursday and remain open until Saturday morning). Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the stadium early morning Saturday, July 2 to line up for their audition.
Never mind the fact that if you were talented enough to win on Idol, you would've already been discovered by now! This is your golden opportunity to be shaped and molded into a totally forgettable and bland pop star—and/or be humiliated in front of a national audience because you showed up with absolutely no talent whatsoever or dressed in a turkey costume. COME ON GUYS, LET'S DO THIS THING! I want to see you Blogtownies out in full force, singing the shit out of "My Heart will Go On" or preferably something from Dream Girls! (For more auditioning info, hop over here!)
While it's probably unwise, please share your strategy for passing the auditions with flying colors in the comments below!
