The final movie in the Harry Potter franchise opens tonight at midnight. I saw it on Monday; you can read my embarrassingly earnest review right here, but the upshot is that it's great and will absolutely satisfy fans of the series and everyone else is a joyless husk who can go screw.

One thing I neglected to mention in my review is that while there are some pretty fun 3D moments, the addition of post-production 3D means the movie is dark. I kept slipping off my 3D Harry Potter specs (really) to see what the film's palette might look like if I wasn't essentially wearing sunglasses—it slightly distracted from what was an otherwise great experience. If that's something that's likely to bother you, consider seeing it in 2D... then again, the 3D dragon flight was awesome. Word of warning, anyway.

After the jump, some more reminders of the child stars we once knew. Something to keep in mind while you're perving out on Neville Longbottom. (No, Joneser, I'm pretty sure he doesn't take his shirt off in the film.)

The much-discussed transformation of Neville Longbottom, who let's face it still looks like a rabbit when he opens his mouth, but was nonetheless great in the last movie:

And my personal favorite, Ron Weasley:
