Captain America and Friends with Benefits, Reviewed!

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Jul 21, 2011 at 1:59 PM

Two films worthy of note this week didn't screen in time for our print deadlines: Captain America and Friends with Benefits. But not to worry—we saw them anyway, and our web-exclusive reviews are live on the internets right... NOW.

Says Ezra Ace Caraeff of Captain America: "Plot points and storyline are secondary here—oh, don't act so shocked—as Captain America is just another entry in the great pantheon of moderately enjoyable comic book adaptations that can't hold a star-spangled shield to The Dark Knight, but it sure beats watching Ben Affleck in Daredevil." Full review here.

Says I of Friends with Benefits: "Perhaps it would have been a better strategy not to strain so hard in insisting that Benefits is different—but probably not." Full review here.

Both films open tomorrow for your weekend meh-ntertainment. Times are right here.
