DEEP SHOCK—Director Dario Argento never disappoints, with ooky Italian horror-fueled scenes of depravity and the most innovative gore scenes this side of torture porn. His 1975 flick Deep Red promises an amazing soundtrack by Goblin, a mysterious black-gloved killer, and a creepy floating robot-ventriloquist dummy. Get there early for a passel of 35mm Italian grindhouse trailers. CF
Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy, 7:30 pm, $7

BIRTHDAY—The Museum of Contemporary Craft celebrates 75 years of elevating the discourse around craft and art, with an exhibition featuring 75 donations to the museum's permanent collection. AH
Museum of Contemporary Craft, 724 NW Davis, Tues-Sat 11 am-6 pm, through Feb 25
