The Exhaustive North Williams Gentrification Map

We've reported during the summer on the debate over a planned revamp of North Williams to make it safer for bikes and pedestrians. There's one thing everyone can agree on about the street: It has changed immensely over the decades, due to urban renewal and now a boom in hip businesses.

Lisa Loving over at The Skanner put together this map of businesses along North Williams circa 1956—it's definitely worth checking out. It's interesting to compare the businesses of then to the vacant lots and coffee shops of now.
