After seven weeks of no roller derby, I hope you had time to get your cheering voices tuned up! We're good to go for FOUR derby bouts this weekend, with the Rose City Rollers and a passel of visiting teams. It's bound to be a hopper-full of rock-'em-sock-'em good times, starting tonight with our all-star team the Wheels of Justice vs. the Boston Derby Dames' Boston Massacre (tonight, The Hangar, 7805 SE Oaks Park, 8 pm, $14-20, tickets available at the door). Wear your wicked WOJ purple duds—it's time for a Boston Tea Party... of blood! Also, Amanda Hugnkill has a great preview of this bout here.

The August Take-Down continues tomorrow with a double header. First up, our secondary all-stars the Axles of Annihilation vs. Seattle's B travel team, the Rain of Terror. Then stick it out for a battle between Rat City Rollergirls and the Boston Derby Dames (Saturday, The Hangar, 7805 SE Oaks Park, 6 pm, $14-20, tickets available here).

Closing out the bruise-filled weekend is an early morning bout between Everett, Washington's Jet City Rollergirls vs. those funny-talking broads from the Boston Derby Dames (Sunday, The Hangar, 7805 SE Oaks Park, 10 am, $14-20, tickets here).

Catch my recap of the skate-crazed madness early next week!
