THE BLOGTOWN ETHICIST: Money Trumps "Thank You"?

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Fri, Aug 12, 2011 at 9:59 AM

First of all, thanks for all of your suggestions about how I can ethically steal a person's canoe. See ya on the river this weekend!! Now for today's "The Blogtown Ethicist."

Before we begin, check out this quick trailer for season five of Mad Men.

I love this because it contains one of my fave back-and-forths between Don Draper and Peggy.
Peggy: "YOU NEVER SAY 'THANK YOU'!" (for all the work she does)
Don: "THAT'S WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR!!"

IS THAT WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR? AND IF NOT, SHOULDN'T YOU ALSO BE THANKING YOUR BOSS?

Your suggestions for this workplace ethical quandary is welcome in the comments below.
