No! The greatest non-ginger Blazers big man ever, Arvydas Sabonis, has reportedly suffered a heart attack:

Lithuanian news site Delfi.lt reports that former Portland Trail Blazers center Arvydas Sabonis suffered a heart attack while playing basketball Tuesday night. Spanish website CadenaSer.com reported soon after that Sabonis did suffer a heart attack but quoted Arturo Ortega, a representative for Sabonis, who said the center was "out of danger."

"Out of danger" or "serious condition"? Update: Looks like he'll be in the hospital for week.

The incident was just a few weeks removed from "Arvydas Sabonis Day" here in Portland (August 18th), an honored bestowed on Sabonis last month during his trip to the States for a visit to Portland and his much deserved induction in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. We wish him well. A world without Sabonis is a world not worth living in.

3:39 PM UPDATE:
The Trail Blazers have released a statement, it's after the jump:

STATEMENT FROM PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS REGARDING ARVYDAS SABONIS

The Portland Trail Blazers have confirmed that Arvydas Sabonis has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack in his native Lithuania. His condition is believed to be non-life threatening. Our thoughts are with Arvydas and his family at this time. We wish him well in a speedy recovery.
