In a rare move, director Werner Herzog has been cast as the villain in One Shot, the Paramount-Skydance productions drama that stars Tom Cruise.

The project, an adaptation of a 2005 Lee Child novel, centers on Jack Reacher (Cruise), an ex-Army cop who gets sucked into the mystery surrounding the arrest of a sniper accused of killing five people in a shooting.

This is amazing news. I am amazed. I can't even... I can't even process how stoked I am about this.

Also, good luck, Tom Cruise, because you are going to need it. WERNER LAUGHS AT BULLETS
