How is it cute? It's an un-natural, specifically breeded animal created exclusively for the amusment of bourgeois elitists! If pugs were left out in the wild, they wouldn't last a week.
There should be a ban on such genetically-manipulated "status" animals, and there should be some sort of 'phase-out' program for any that exist today.

This is [partly] how drug-resistent super-diseases happen folks, it's for our own good!
