Yesterday on All Things Considered, NPR did a great job breaking down how movie trailers are put together—and why, instead of looking and sounding like the one above, they now look and sound more like this. (Shockingly, your wizened, frail attention span and the opinions of test-marketed strangers play a part.) It's six minutes long and well worth a listen; do so here.
