Announcing HECKLEVISION 2.0

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Wed, Feb 1, 2012 at 9:44 AM

Hecklevsion was a total blast when we did it a few weeks ago, so guess what? WE'RE DOING IT AGAIN.

Oh yes.

Hecklevision: Commando. Saturday February 25, 2012. 7:30 pm. The Hollywood Theater (4122 NE Sandy). Admission $7. It's going to be fucking magical.

IMPORTANT ADDENDUM: By popular my demand, the Hollywood, for this one night only, has agreed to sell milano cookies—or, as they will be referred to that evening, "Alyssa Milano Milanos."

I'll be there. A warning and reminder: I text fast and have very little by way of an internal filter.

REMEMBER THAT TIME KIALA AND DANE HOSTED A SHOWING OF COMMANDO IN THEIR WINDMILL FORTRESS?!? ALSO, I'M IN.

I'M JUST GOING TO MAKE THE JOKE OF "REMEMBER WHEN I SAID *FILL IN THE BLANK*? I LIED!!!" ABOUT 500 TIMES.

FOR INSTANCE, "REMEBER WHEN I SAID THAT ERIK WASN'T A BONER-KILLER? I LIED."

Any chance the heckling can continue into the Portlandia screening?

"He's dead tired" is way better than "I lied"

Arnold passed on the sequel to Commando to do The Running Man. The script had the main character re-written and became Die Hard

@ROM: NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE BOOK THAT DIE HARD IS BASED ON IS THE SEQUEL TO THE 1966 MOVIE "THE DETECTIVE" STARING FRANK SINATRA, SO THROUGH WEIRD FINAGLING, WE CAN SAY THAT ARNOLD IS PLAYING A PARRALLEL UNIVERSE VERSION OF SINATRA.

Don't site next to me! I plan to smash my neighbor in the face with my elbow, break his or her neck, then tell the usher that they're dead tired. There will be ushers, right?

Dear God you are dorks. Here, let me suggest your next 80's geekfest..."Cobra". You will love it! You can nerd out, live vicariously through a character you have nothing in common with and think fondly about the 80s and bad movies, which came out when most of you were like, 3. And you expect me to take you seriously?
