The comic book industry as a whole might not have had the greatest week, but one of Portland's best comics shops, Cosmic Monkey Comics, is celebrating their fifth year in their current location (5335 NE Sandy)—an anniversary that just so happens to coincide with Valentine's Day.
Cosmic Monkey's "romantic comic sale" starts today and runs through Tuesday, with 50 percent off of back issues and 25 percent off of everything else, except for hold items, consignment items, and food and drink. (Bad call, Cosmic Monkey. If only you'd let me pick up some 50 percent off candy bars too, I'm pretty sure my Valentine's date would be doubly impressed.) Anyway, now you know! Go read some X-Men and make some nerdlings, nerds.
