AU on Into the Woods' Feels Like Home Series

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Tue, Feb 21, 2012 at 11:29 AM

Here's a gripping new video from the Into the Woods crew, and this one's part of their Feels Like Home series, shot on location at the band's house.

The band in this case is AU, the duo of Luke Wyland and Dana Valatka, although for this performance they're rounded out by a crew of friends, including Holland Andrews (of Like a Villain) on vocals and percussion, guitarist Dan Duval, Reed Wallsmith on sax, and Nick Sweet on trombone. This clip captures the kinetic energy of AU's always stunning live performances, even in the staid confines of a domestic home. It also affords a close look at Wyland's unique, baffling keyboard/pedal steel setup. It's a great clip.

AU's new album Both Lights comes out on Hometapes on April 3, but AU is playing their album release show a month early—on Saturday, March 3 at the Doug Fir, where you'll be able to get a copy of the excellent new record before the rest of the world can.
