URGENT GAME OF THRONES NEWS! No, it's not that I'll (finally) have my review of the season one Blu-rays up later today. It's that thanks to HBO and the Oregon Food Bank, you can see a screening of the premiere of season two, early and on the big screen (as long as you're willing to drive your ass out to Beaverton). You can maybe even win an iPad 2 if you have the best costume, which you won't, because my Daenerys gown is stunning. Full info after the jump, in the form of a lazily cut-and-pasted press release.
WHAT: HBO and Oregon Food Bank will host an exclusive sneak peak screening of GAME OF THRONES SEASON 2 on Friday, March 23rd.
Fans attending the GAME OF THRONES Ultimate Fan Experience will see Episode 1 prior to the HBO debut and are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters. The fan with the best costume will be awarded an iPad2, and other GAME OF THRONES swag will be given away on-site along with pizza, beer and wine. Attendees are also asked to bring donations of canned goods to be collected on-site.
Based on the bestselling fantasy book series, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, the Emmy®-winning GAME OF THRONES follows kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noblemen as they vie for power in a land where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime.
GAME OF THRONES season 2 will premiere on HBO on Sunday, April 1st (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT).
